We would like to thank everyone who submitted applications to bring SISTAS SAVVE to their community! We received a number of fantastic applications from community members who demonstrated the great need for programs such as SISTAS SAVVE for young women in and around Honiara.
We anticipate that with the success of this pilot, we will be able to reach more communities and many young women in the coming year, so keep posted and listen out for any news about the future of SISTAS SAVVE!
We are pleased to announce that KOFILOKO is successful in becoming the first community to host the program. Kofiloko is a community of approximately 90 families situated east of Honiara. Twenty young mothers from the community will participate in the pilot program from January 2011.
We look forward to meeting all the participants and beginning a life-changing journey with them in the coming months!
