Deadline for applications - 1st December 2010

SISTAS SAVVE has been visiting communities around Honiara in order to paste up advertisements and to talk with the communities about our project. We are sending out a reminder that the deadline for applications is Wednesday the 1st of December! So if you think your community might be interested in being involved in this project, come and visit us as SIPPA!

Sistas Savve is a two year project aiming to improve the health, economic and social status of young women in Honiara. It is a partnership between Solomon Islands Planned Parenthood Association (SIPPA), Solomon Islands Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA-SI) and Family Planning International New Zealand, and is funded by the New Zealand Aid Programme.

By providing a range of informal education opportunities, the young women will develop skills and knowledge that will enable them to earn a livelihood and develop leadership, reproductive health, nutrition, and parenting skills. Over two years, Sistas Savve will provide opportunities to 120 young women, their families and communities.
